40.1-51.1.(A): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of the #2 Joyce in-ground hydraulic lift where the information plate providing safe working load, name and serial number was illegible to employees. One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct this hazard is to adhere to the requirements set forth in ANSI B153.1-1990, section 5.2: "The lift shall be permanently marked to show the manufacturer's name, rated load capacity, model and serial number.",
