enough to prevent crushing.  In addition, the employer did not provide a
company truck crane
with the manufacturer's load chart.
AT THIS WORKSITE LOCATED AT 2620 TIBURON DRIVE, NAPLES, FLORIDA, THE
FOLLOWING WAS FOUND:
1) THE EMPLOYER DID NOT ENSURE THAT TRUCK CRANE OUTRIGGER SUPPORT
BLOCKS USED BY THE EMPLOYEES WERE STRONG ENOUGH TO PREVENT
CRUSHING.
AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO
CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS FOR THE EMPLOYER TO ENSURE THAT
1) OUTRIGGER SUPPORT BLOCKS OR IMPLEMENTS MUST BE STRONG ENOUGH TO
PREVENT CRUSHING.
REFERENCE ANSI STANDARD B30.15 FOR MOBILE HYDRAULIC CRANES, AND THE
OPERATING MANUAL FOR THE HIAB MODEL #1265.
