North Carolina General Statute 95-129 (1) of the Occupational Safety and
Health Act of North
Carolina:  The employer did not furnish to each of his employees
conditions of employment and
a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to
cause death or serious physical harm to employees:
a)in the packing department from falling,striking against, struck by
objects in that
employees were required to climb inside the vibrator to assist the dumping
of
parts into the vibrator while the vibrator was in operation.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to prohibit the employee from climbing into the vibrator and to provide
the employee with a rake
and/or other type tool to assist the dumping of parts into the vibrator.
