Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that:An employee was exposed to crushing injuries resulting from roll over accident. (a) At this construction site located at 12323 SW 53 street, Cooper City.Fl. On or about April 14,1999 the employer did not enforce the use of the seat belt which was provided on the Super Pac Roller model A 471. Among other methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method would be to require the Roller operator to use seat belt provided on the Roller. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
