N.C.G.S. 95-129(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)soiled workroom - suitable facilities for flushing of the eyes were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use where employees were exposed to injurious splashes of Cidex, blood, and other potentially infectious materials. ABATEMENT NOTE - Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provide facilities for flushing of the eyes compliant with American National Standard for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment, ANSI Z358.1-1990. x Xr Py Py &
