North Carolina General Statue 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety
and Health Act of North Carolina:  The employer did not furnish to
each of his employees  condition of employment and a place of
employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of
collapsing structures under the hammer hog and the overhead vacuum
tube.

between steel I beam support structure beneath same and
power control building, vertical I beams supporting
structure damaged by forklifts and other material
handling vehicle collisions, weakening the supports.
b)rear of plant, overhead vacuum conveyor tube
approximately 30' high, area adjacent to angle iron
support structures, vertical support structure damaged by
collisions with forklifts and other material handling
vehicles, weakening the supports.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable
abatement method to correct this hazard would be to
replace the vertical supports.
