Laundry Room:
On or about March 9,1999, employees were exposed to toxic fumes, fire or
explosion
hazards resulting from storage and usage of incompatible chemicals in
close proximity
of each other.  These chemicals included Laundry Sour, a strong acid
(ammonium
hydrogen fluoride) which was stored and used next to alkalis such as
chlorinated Laundry
Destainer-Sanitizer, Laundry Emulsifier (sodium sulfonate), and Laundry
Builder (sodium
hydroxide).
One feasible abatement method to correct the hazard is to separate acids
and
alkalis.
