29 CFR 1910.269(v)(11)(xii): Where coal-handling operations may produce a combustible atmosphere from fuel sources or from flammable gases or dust, sources of ignition were not eliminated or safely controlled to prevent ignition of the combustible atmosphere: a) At 6198 Franklin St. Denver, CO.: Employees were exposed to explosion hazards due to the coal system not being maintained and operated properly. The crusher and tramp iron extraction systems were not working, or working at a substandard level creating an explosion hazard in the pulverizer mills. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (See enclosed "Sample Abatement-Certification Letter").
