employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to:
8200 Frazier Pike, Little Rock, AR:  The employer did not furnish
employment and a
place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or
likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that
employees were
exposed to the recognized hazards associated with employees operating
powered
industrial lift trucks equipped with personal restraint systems without
the use of those
operator restraint systems.  On or about 1/20/99, two fork truck operators
were observed
operating fork trucks without the use of seat belts.
Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable means of abatement to
correct this
hazard is as follows:
Develop and enforce a work rule requiring all operators to use the
personal restraint
systems whenever operating powered industrial trucks.
