Stat. 182.653 subd. 2: The employer did not furnish to each employee, conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards which caused or were likely to cause death or serious injury to employees. In the maintenance area, a Ridged 300 pipe fitter was found without a foot control a recognized hazard likely to cause serious injury.

Minn. Stat. 182.653 subd. 2: The employer did not furnish to each employee, conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards which caused or were likely to cause death or serious injury to employees; Employee was not provided a stable place to stand while pouring molten aluminum from the ladle into the mold in the sand foundry melt area. Employee was not protected from a potential fall onto the ladle, mold, or floor, or mold failure. Abatement guidelines: 1.The employer shall implement a hazard assessment of the foundry process and implemented changes to prevent potential hazards. 2. Employees shall be protected from injury by use of items, such as but not limited to: putting the mold in a pit so that the employees are working above the mold, building a work platform around the mold so that the employees are elevated above the floor area, or other means of protection developed by the employer that provides equal or better protection. Stat. 182.653 subd. 2: The employer did not furnish to each employee, conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards which caused or were likely to cause death or serious injury to employees; and Employees walking in the aisle were not protected from possible molten metal spill or splatter when molten metal was being transferred from the furnace to the ladle for the tru-line permanent molds. The molten metal was being transferred from the furnace to the ladle in the direction of the aisle, which was directly adjacent to the ladle.nt
