North Carolina General Statue 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to being struck by falling truck bodies: a)Yard-On 07/18/97 a truck body being removed from the concreted ground and being placed on a dolly fell from the forks of a forklift truck striking the dolly on one end causing the other end to strike an employee. Among others, reasonable means of abatement is to not remove the bodies from the dollies until they are to be mounted on the trucks and if the bodies have to be removed from the dollies and remounted later, the employees shall use pneumatic and/or hydraulic jacks supplied for that purpose and cease removing or loading the bodies with the forklift trucks.t
