North Carolina General Statute 95-129 (1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)manufacturing area--a CM Loadstar 1 ton overhead monorail hoist and associated A-frame support structure were not provided with frequent and periodic inspections Reference: ANSI B30.11-1980; Section 11-2.1 NOTE:Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method is to provide frequent and periodic inspections on the hoist and associated monorail system.

Reference:ANSI B30.11-1980; Section 11-2.2 NOTE:Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method is to have the overhead hoist and associated monorail system load tested.
