North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety
and Health Act of North Carolina:  The employer did not furnish to
each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of
employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm:
a)Honda Cars of Monroe - Service Department, an employee
was observed working overhead repairing a heating unit
while standing on the top step of a Louisville 8 foot
fiberglass step ladder.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct
this hazard includes, but is not limited to, assuring that
employees select the proper length ladder prior to performing work.
