Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970; The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards which were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that, employees were exposed to a fall hazards in excess of 10 feet while Performing plastering activities: a) At 6860 S. Clinton Way, Englewood, CO: Pride West Management, as controlling and exposing contractor, did not ensure their subcontractor's Olmsted Construction, employees were protected from injury in that, employees were performing plastering activities on a job- made platform with a fall in excess of 10 feet. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazardous condition would be to build a platform that meets criteria for employees as to prevent possible falls. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation is required for this item (see enclosed "Sample Abatement-Certification Letter").
