Title 21 VSA Chapter 3, Sub chapter 5, Section 223a of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to overhead hazards such as a suspended load. Location: Route 118, Montgomery Violation: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to workplace violence such as assaults by non employees. Among other methods, two feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard is: 1. Have a security alarm on all doors which sound when the doors are opened. 2. Provide active security cameras with monitors located at the cash register location for employees to view.
