SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of
recognized hazards
which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply
with this
regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations
promulgated under
Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as
amended, as
follows:
A. Employer knew or should have known that employees walking around or
riding on Toro
5100-D mower number 03502-20132 were exposed to the hazard of coming in
contact with
rotating blades because of inoperable deadman switch.  A feasible and
useful method to
correct this hazard is to install or repair deadman switch.
B. Employer knew or should have known that employees walking around or
riding on Toro
Groundsmaster 325 mower number 30788-50567 were exposed to the hazard of
coming in
contact with rotating blades.  A feasible and useful method to correct
this hazard is to install
or repair deadman switch.
C. Employer knew or should have known that employees walking around or
riding on Lesco
300 mower number 3663172 were exposed to the hazard of coming in contact
with rotating
blades because of inoperable deadman switch.  A feasible and useful method
to correct this
hazard is to install or repair deadman switch.
D. Employer knew or should have known that employees walking around or
riding on
Diamond Turf Equipment greens mower were exposed to the hazard of coming
in contact
with rotating blades because of inoperable deadman switch.  A feasible and
useful method to
correct this hazard is to install or repair deadman switch.
