SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of recognized hazards which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply with this regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations promulgated under Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, as follows: A. Employer knew or should have known that employees were using an underhung crane, on or before October 24, 2000, with an inoperable bumper which exposed the employee to the hazard of the crane dropping the load due to sudden stop shock. A feasible and useful method to correct, among others, is to install an operable bumper on crane one in bay one.

SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of recognized hazards which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply with this regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations promulgated under Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, as follows: A. Employer knew or should have known that employees were using overhead cranes, on or before October 24, 2000, which exposed the employee to the hazard of the load being dropped by lifting objects beyond the bridges capacity a feasible and useful method to correct, among others, is to install a hoist with a capacity equal to or less than the bridge capacity. B. Employer knew or should have known that employees were using underhung cranes, on or about October 24, 2000, which exposed the employees to the hazard of the load being dropped due to a broken upper limit switch on crane one in bay one in the shop. A feasible and useful method to correct this hazard, among other methods, is to install an upper limit switch that works.
