Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the following conditions: (a)Camp Logan Cement Works, Inc., frequent and periodic inspections were not being conducted on hoists such as the AC PAD hoist, the Weld Shop hoist, the Car Stop Core Station hoist, and the Step 1 hoist. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement is to place load limit on the hoists and conduct frequent and periodic inspections of the hoists in accordance to the guidance from ANSI B30.16. *** Certification and Documentation of Abatement Required ***
