times
prior thereto, employees and other subcontractor employees walked and
worked on a roof
that had an unsupported roof section that was not covered, or barricaded
off to prevent
accidental access.
"AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE
ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO COVER THE
UNSUPPORTED AREA WITH MATERIAL CAPABLE OF SUPPORTING WITHOUT
FAILURE, AT LEAST TWICE THE WEIGHT OF EMPLOYEES, EQUIPMENT, AND
MATERIALS; AND/OR BARRICADE THE AREA OFF TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL
ACCESS TO THE UNSUPPORTED ROOF AREA."
