General-duty citation text
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious harm to employees. An employee were exposed to the hazards of falls while working in a scissor lift. Randall Road job site, approx 20 feet above grade - An employee working from the end of a scissor lift was exposed to fall hazards. The midrail of the guardrail system was not utilized. A feasible means of abatement would be to provide complete fall protection in accordance with the American National Standards Institute, ANSI A92.6-1979 Standard for Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms. NO CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM.
