Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment or a place of employment which was free from recognized
hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to the employees in
that:
On or about June 2, 2000, at the polishing and grinding area the employees
running the time
saver RAMCO Sander, deburring cast iron and aluminum metal parts were
exposed to fire and
explosion due to build-up of metal dust and the presence of combustible
oil in the duct line.
Among other methods; feasible means of correcting the hazard is to comply
with the
manufacturer's requirement for safe sanding operation of steel and
aluminum metal parts, or
other parts and NFPA  requirements for safe dust collecting operation,
such as but are not
limited to the following:
a)  eliminate fuel or use of non-combustible oil;
b)  good housekeeping and efficient dust collecting system for effective
removal of build-
up metal dust a potential fuel for fire;
c)  any other system that suppresses fire; and
d)  enforcement of the operating rules
