Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were working in a self propelled extensible boom aerial lift and were not utilizing appropriate fall protection. Indian Trail Plaza jobsite - Employee worked in an extensible boom aerial lift without using fall protection. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with American National Standards Institute, ANSI A92.5-1992 Standard for Boom-Supported Elevating Platforms, The Genie Operating Manual, and; 1. Require employees to wear fall protection anytime that they are in the aerial lift. NO CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
