Section (5)(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which is free from recognized hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees, in that an employee was wearing metal jewelry, while arc welding. On or about July 17, 2000, a welder wore jewelry while welding. CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM. A feasible form of abatement is to train employees, in accordance with training handbooks maintained by Vincent Signs, not to wear jewelry while performing welding operations.
