North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety
and Health Act of North Carolina:  The employer did not furnish to
each of his employees  conditions of employment and a place of
employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that
employees were exposed to:
a)manufacturer, wood shop - wood dust collection system
leaked and blew wood dust throughout the shop.
b)manufacturer, wood shop - band saw; radial arm saw; two
belt sanders; and a rip saw were not connected to the
facility's wood dust collection system.
One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to
correct these hazards are to maintain the dust collection
system in good repair and connect the band saw; radial arm
saw; two belt sanders; and a rip saw band saw to the
facility's dust collection system.

employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards:
a)manufacturer, wood shop - an accumulation of sawdust and
wood chips were allowed to accumulate throughout the wood
shop.
One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to
correct these hazards are to clean and maintain the build-up
of dust in the shop; maintain the dust collection system in
good repair and connect the band saw; radial arm saw; two belt
sanders; and a rip saw band saw to the facility's dust
collection system.
