North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and
Health Act of North
Carolina:  The employer did not furnish to each of his employees
conditions of employment and
a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to
cause death or serious physical harm to employees:
a)butchering area--a 1 ton CM overhead monorail hoist and 1/2 ton CM
overhead
monorail hoist were not provided with frequent and periodic inspections.
b)butchering area--a 1/2 ton Coffman overhead hoist was not provided with
frequent
and periodic inspection.

NOTE:Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method
is to provide frequent and periodic inspections on the hoists and
associated
monorail system.
c)butchering area--a 1 ton CM overhead monorail hoist and a 1/2 ton CM
overhead
monorail hoist were not provided with an initial load test prior to being
placed
into operation.
d)butchering area--a 1/2 Coffman overhead hoist was not provided with an
initial
load test prior to being placed into operation.

NOTE:Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method
is to have the overhead hoists and associated monorail system load tested
and maintain the documentation of the load test in the work place.
