North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)facility; shop - a load test has not been conducted on the 2 Ton Harrington Underhung crane. Reference:ANSI B30.11-1980; paragraph 11-2.2.2(a) - Rated Load Test - Prior to initial use , all cranes shall be load tested. Note:Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to conduct a load test.

Reference:ANSI B30.11-1980; paragraph 11-2.1.1(a) Initial Inspection - before use, all new and altered cranes shall be inspected, then followed by frequent and periodic inspections. Note:Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to conduct the inspections and to continue inspections monthly, periodically and frequently supported by documentation.

Chapter 20-1.4 - Operationally Tested prior to initial use. Chapter 20-1.4.2 - Rated Load Test prior to initial use. Note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to conduct inspections and test on all below the hook devices.
