North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)facility; tool/die - monorail system with Budgit 1/2 hoist has not been load tested. b)facility; dip tank area - monorail system with CM Valuestar hoist has not been load tested. c) facility; welding - the structure of floor mounted jib crane has not been inspected. d)facility; heavy duty assembly - underhung crane system with 1 ton Budgit hoist has not been load tested. e)facility; machine shop - underhung crane system with 1/2 ton Coffing hoist has not been load tested. REFERENCE: ANSI B30.11 - 1980; paragraph 11.2.2.2(a) Rated load test - Prior tio initial use, all the equipment mentioned in the above paragraph is to be load tested. NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable measure of control is to have load tests conducted.
