North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)facility; printing - the structure of the underhung crane system with 2 ton coffing hoist has not been load tested. b)facility; slashing - the structure of the underhung crane system with 2 ton coffing hoist has not been load tested. REFERENCE: ANSI B30.11-1980; paragraph 11.2.2.2 (a) Rated load test - Prior to initial use, all new, extensively repaired, and altered equipment should be tested... NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to load test the cranes.
