Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to an explosion/flash fire hazard: a) Cumberland Crossing, Cumberland, RI, on or about 03/13/00, employees were vacuuming gasoline from a spill that occurred from a punctured six-inch Mobile pipe line into the tank truck that was not adequately grounded and/or bonded. NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the section of your publication titled, "Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc. Grounding And Bonding Procedures". Copyright 1992.
