Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a), Annotated Code of Maryland: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a)Date of Violation:05/06/99 Location:Kitchen Equipment:.75" EMT Conduit Condition:2 - 12" and 1 - 18" .75" EMT conduit were protruding upward from tile floor and not covered or otherwise protected to prevent against impalement hazard. The proposed penalty for this item has been reduced by 50for effective and efficient abatement during the inspection.
