Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to rotating machine parts. a) Building "B", Glass Washing Line - An employee did not receive training in the operations and processes associated with the glass conveyer table. On or about 08/04/00. One feasible and acceptable abatement method is to provide training to employees in the operations and processes associated with the glass conveyor table, in accordance with ASME/ANSI B20.1-1987 (Safety Standards for Conveyors and Related Equipment); paragraph 5.12. NOTE:ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM. See page 2,"Notification of Corrective Action" for instructions.
