Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falls of up to 15 feet. a)Production Area, Main Aisle: An employee who was taking inventory was lifted on a wooden pallet on the forks of a Crown industrial truck, was not protected from the hazard of falling to the floor below, on or about January 7, 2000. Abatement Note: One feasible and acceptible method of abatement, among others, is to provide a "safety platform" used in accordance with ANSI B56.1 - 1975, Part III - Section 513, or equivalent protection.
