Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to contact with moving conveyor belts and wire belt lacings:
a)Warehouse :  Conveyor lines used to make up orders and to load trucks
did not
have work station stop buttons that permitted ready access from any point
along
the conveyor line in the event of an emergency, on or about 03/28/00.
Abatement Note:  One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among
others to correct
this hazard, is to provide a "Pull Cord" type emergency switch that would
permit ready
access along any work station on the conveyor as stipulated in ASME
B20.1-1990 Safety
Standards for Conveyors and Related Equipment, Section #5 General Safety
