North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)facility, kitchen area - a two outlet receptacle located near a sink in the kitchen was not provided with a Ground Fault Circuit Interruption protection. (Reference 1999 National Electric Code, Section 517-20 Paragraph (a)). Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install a receptacle that is provided with Ground Fault Circuit Interruption protection.n
