North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)facility; machine hall - monorail system with a 1/2 ton Stahl hoist has not been load tested. b)facility; hammermill area - monorail system with a Yale 1/2 ton hoist has not been load tested. c)facility; hammermill area - monorail system with a CM 1 ton hoist has not been load tested. d)facility; hammermill area - monorail system with a Yale 1/2 ton hoist has not been load tested. Reference: ANSI B30.11-1980;paragraph 11.2.2.2(a) Rated load test - Prior to initial use, all the equipment mentioned in the above paragraph is to be tested... NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to load test the monorail systems.
