Executive Order 12196 Section 1-201(a) of the Occupational Safety and Health Programs for Federal Employees: The Agency head did not furnish employees places and conditions of employment that were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm: a) Park Headquarters, Grand Teton National Park, Moose, WY: Employees were exposed to the hazard of an unsafe auto lift while working under the floor mounted automobile lift that was not equipped with any type of safety devices. One feasible and acceptable means of abatement would be to require employees to use approved jack stands to support the hoist when used in a raised position. __ Abatement certification or documentation is NOT required for this item. __ Abatement certification is required for this item. X_ Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item. __ Warning tag (or citation copy) required on this equipment before moving.
