Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At Cutting Area - sanding machine home made (1500/1800 rpm, 75 watts and 115 volts) had no guard covering rotating parts not utilized by employee when polished the edges of electronic boards. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is installing to the machine a guard that avoid employees have contact with rotating parts not utilized in the operation. Hazard: Cuts and abrasions from physical contact with rotating parts. En el Area de Corte - maquina lijadora de fabricacion casera (1500/1800rpm, 75 wats y 115 voltios) no tenia resguardo cubriendo partes en rotacion no utilizadas por el empleado cuando pulia los bordes de las tarjetas electronicas. Entre otros, un metodo factible y aceptable de corregir este riesgo es instalando a la maquina una guarda que evite que el empleado tenga contacto con partes en rotacion no utilizadas en la operacion. Riesgo: Cortaduras y abrasiones por contacto fisico con partes en rotacion.
