Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
In the Mechanical Workshop - the presence of excrement of pigeons in the
floor, cars to be
repair, in the water drinking fountain and in all the equipment in the
workshop, affected the
health of the employee in the area.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct
the hazard is
to close de hole in the wall in the eastsouth side to avoid the entrance
of the pigeons in the
workshop and providing the cleaning and maintenance of the area.  The
employee presented
alergies, respiratory and skin affections.
Hazard: Alergies, respiratory and skin conditions from contact and
inhalation of the excrement.
En el Taller de Mecanica - la presencia de excrementos de palomas en el
piso, en los carros a
ser reparados, en la fuente de agua y en todo el equipo del taller,
afectando la salud del
empleado en el area.
Entre otros metodos, uno factible y aceptable de corregir este riesgo es
cerrar el hueco en la
pared del lado sureste para evitar la entrada de las palomas en el taller
y proveer la limpieza y
mantenimiento del area.  El empleado presenta alergias y afecciones
respiratorias y de la piel.
Riesgo: Alergias, condiciones respiratorias y de la piel por contacto e
inhalacion de estos
excrementos.s
