Title 40.1-51.1(a), Code of Virginia: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: Warehouse area: A chain hoist that was used to lift 55 gallon drums of material was attached to a beam with an unknown weight capacity. The beam rating capacity was not in accordance with ANSI B30.16-1.1.3.1. Abatement for this hazard can be accomplished by determining the beam load rating capacity and posting it on the beam.ng
