Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer failed to provide a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a. On or about December 30, 1999, at the jobsite located at 6840 Ridge Point Drive in Oak Forest, Illinois, employees working on a roof 30 feet from ground to eave were exposed to injuries from falls due to improper use of personal fall arrest systems. The proper method does not allow for two employees to be tied to the same roof bracket. This information is provided by the manufacturer in the "Instruction Use And Maintenance Manual". NOTE: 29 CFR 1903.19 Requires that you provide certification and documentation of abatement for this item.
