Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish toeach of his employees employmentand a place
of employment
which were free fromreconized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious
physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
On or about 3/14/01 on the monorail platform between E Terminal and E
Satellite, employee
was exposed to a struck-by hazard due to the lack of a barricade system to
keep  employee out
of the active rail.
Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method to
correct this hazard
is to install a movable barricade system to prevent employee(s) from
accessing the active track.
