Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) On or about 4/3/01, On the Hyster forklift truck, while operating the forklift truck the driver did not use the seat belt provided on the truck. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this is to require and enforce the use of the seatbelts on forklift trucks. CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED
