Condition:A means of communication was not available for police officers
when
outside of their partrol vehicles for use during emergency situations to
solicit assistance, nor were interim safety measures clearly
communicated or enforced.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard
is to portable two-way radios which function in their partrol areas, and
training in and
enforcement of specific interim safety procedures for checking on officers
when out on calls.
Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs,
training
certification, etc.) is required for this item.
