Title 40.1-51.1(a) Code of Virginia: Employees were exposed to fall hazards when the employer did not ensure that all traffic regulations were observed. Several forklift drivers were observed not wearing seatbelts during the operation of the forklift increasing risk of injury in the event of a tip over accident, which forklift trucks are particularly susceptible to. The need for operators to use restraint systems is evidenced by requirements found in ANSI B56.1 consensus standard for powered industrial trucks, and ASMI B56.1-2000 - Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks.d
