Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a), Annotated Code of Maryland: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:02/08/00 Condition:Employees worked with and handled a variety of chemicals, some of which were corrosive, and were provided only with a personal eyewash bottle for flushing of the eyes. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provide an eye wash facility which meets the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard 2358.1.
