employer did not
furnish employment and place of employment which were free from recognized
hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that the
employees were exposed to being struck and crushed by falling molds,
castings, or other
loads when using untested, uninspected, custom-made below the hook lifting
devices.
Feasible and acceptable abatement methods include, but are not limited to:
Design and test
all lifting hooks in accordance with ANSI B 30.20 Below The Hook Lifting
Devices.
DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM.
Certification, and documentation/evidence of abatement is required.
Certification of abatement is required by 29 CFR Part 1903 and is to be
submitted within ten (10)
calendar days after the abatement date.ment
