North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to lack of ground-fault circuit interrupter protection: Ref. NFPA 1999, 210-8(a)(7): All 125v, single phase, 15- and 20- ampere receptacles where the receptacles are installed to serve the countertop surfaces and are located within 6 feet of the outside edge of the wet bar sink shall have ground-fault circuit interrupter protection for personnel: a)facility, main dining hall - a duplex outlet on the wall, 33 inches from a water faucet did not have GFCI protection. During inspection on 2/23/00, a radio was plugged into the outlet.
