Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Job Site, 1250 Broad St. in Wadsworth: On or before June 7, 2000, two employees working on the job site, were exposed to the hazards of falling from the work platform of a bill board due to the collapse of the platform from deteriorating supports. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods to control the hazard are: (1) Develop and maintain a effective inspection and maintenance program to inspect and repair or replace rusted and defective parts of platforms. (2) Properly train all employees to check platform supports before mounting platforms.
