Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to:
Employees operating the Braun Wheelchair Lift Serial
#L10UPB-02-0597-12-18B1 were exposed
to pinch points while manually aligning the whale with the Roller Pin WMT
during the lifting
operation and the employer did not ensure that the lift was maintained in
proper working order.
Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means of abatement to correct
this hazard is:
1.  Replace the broken Lever Weldment;
2.  Remove the unit from service; or,
3.  Replace the lifting unit with a lift that is proper working order.
