Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Employees working at the Culvers Restaurant, 4612 N. University, Peoria, IL., were exposed to a fall hazard in that employees were riding on the forks of the Caterpillar Rough Terrain Fork Lift while it was elevating wood trusses to the top of the roof approximately 10 above the ground. Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to use a personnel platform which complies with the design requirements listed in Part III of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers B56.6 - 2002, Safety Standards for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks.t
